The time ranges given when you buying tickets mean the time interval in which you must enter the exhibition area. After entering the exhibition area, you can visit it up to the closing time.

Would you like to take part in the project? Reflect on the meaning of the word HOME, take a photo, and have a conversation with the artist. As a result, you will receive a personalized artwork created just for you.
Download a free ticket and follow the instructions below:
1. Think about what home means to you. What associations, memories, or images come to mind when you think of home?
2. Send a photograph that represents what HOME means to you to the email address: pablo@cabreraferralis.com. In your message, please include:
- your full name,
- the address where you'd like the artist’s work to be sent.
3. At the time you chose while downloading your ticket, come to the Emigration Museum in Gdynia (ul. Polska 1).
4. Here, in an intimate setting, you’ll meet the artist online. During your conversation, and based on the photo you submitted, the artist will create an illustration representing your HOME. The meeting will last approximately 40–60 minutes.
5. Within 14 days after your meeting, you will receive the original artwork – sent via traditional post to the address you provided.

1. In connection with the implementation of the project “Memories from Home. Souvenirs for Free”, your personal data, namely: full name, mailing address, and email address, will be processed.

3. The provision of personal data is voluntary; however, it is necessary to participate in the project.

Rośliny wykształciły szereg przystosowań, które pozwalają im radzić sobie nawet w bardzo trudnych warunkach. Dzięki temu towarzyszą nam wszędzie, chociaż często nie zwracamy na nie uwagi. W czasie naszego spaceru sprawdzimy jakie rośliny możemy zaobserwować w gdyńskim porcie, jak możemy je rozpoznać i czy posiadają cechy ułatwiające ich życie w tym niełatwym siedlisku. Bliżej przyjrzymy się gatunkom spotykanym w mieście, które wcale nie musi być betonową pustynią.

Spacer jest częścią programu SĄSIEDZI, w którym skupiamy się na najbliższym otoczeniu muzeum, żyjących istotach, z którymi dzielimy przestrzeń, naszych pozaludzkich sąsiadach.

Sławomir Nowak jest pracownikiem Uniwersytetu Gdańskiego. Zawodowo zajmuje się taksonomią i ewolucją roślin, szczególnie rodziną storczykowatych, czyli jednej z najbogatszych rodzin roślin kwiatowych. Swoje badania prowadził w wielu kolekcjach zielnikowych na świecie oraz na obszarach tropikalnych Ameryki Południowej czy Nowej Gwinei. W wolnej chwili również lubi poświęcać czas botanice, hobbystycznie projektując ogrody naturalistyczne. Jest aktywnym członkiem Polskiego Towarzystwa Botanicznego.
